This is hands-down the standout offer of The Last of Us Day 2026. On the PlayStation Store, The Last of Us Part II Remastered drops to just $10—a massive 79% off its usual price. At that price, there’s really no excuse not to (re)experience Ellie and Abby’s journey, now with the No Return roguelike mode and Guitar Free Play. PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers don’t even need to buy it: the game is now included in the catalog.
PC players, you’re not left out: Steam deals kick off Monday, September 29 as part of the Steam Autumn Sale and run through October 6. The Last of Us Part I will be $29.99 (50% off) and The Last of Us Part II Remastered will be $33.49 (33% off). A free animated theme to deck out your PS5
Beyond the sales, Naughty Dog is giving every PS5 owner a gift—no purchase required. A brand-new animated theme inspired by The Last of Us Part I and Part II Remastered is available now, totally free. The studio hasn’t revealed the moving visuals yet, but you can expect the series’ signature post-apocalyptic vibe: overgrown greenery and moody, twilight lighting.
PC players get some love too: new animated avatars and avatar frames are now live in the Steam Points Shop, designed in pairs to create complex scenes when used together.
Magic the Gathering, charity stream, and merch: the full lineup
The headline-grabber is the crossover between The Last of Us and Magic the Gathering. Naughty Dog’s franchise joins the Secret Lair collection of the legendary card game, with artwork already revealed. It’s an unexpected mashup sure to thrill collectors from both worlds. Meanwhile, the studio hosted its first internal “No Retournament,” a tournament where dozens of employees faced off in the No Return mode of The Last of Us Part II Remastered.
On the merch side, Dark Horse is launching a collection of scripts from The Last of Us Part I and Part II along with a massive Bloater statue, while YouTooz is dropping Monitor Buddies and plushies of Joel, Ellie, and Shimmer. Fangamer rounds things out with the return of the Brock plush and the debut of Lev’s shark. Also worth noting: six wallpapers created from real mold grown by designer Jason Ferry. “I grew so much mold this past year, people started calling me Mold Man,” he jokes. Finally, a charity stream is set for September 28 with accessibility advocate Ross Minor, benefiting the AbleGamers Foundation. For Halloween, nine The Last of Us pumpkin stencils are available, with a contest running through October 24.
While Naughty Dog celebrates its flagship series, the studio is also prepping for the future with Intergalactic slated for 2027. Until then, these Last of Us Day deals are the perfect excuse to dive in—or return—to one of gaming’s most unforgettable worlds.
