PS Plus: 6 Games Leaving in March, But This Time, It’s All Cheers—Not Tears
Zero panic, zero FOMO, zero regrets. The six games leaving PS Plus in March won’t have anyone reaching for the tissues—and subscribers aren’t shy about it.
The “Last Chance to Play” section just updated on PS5, revealing which games are set to leave on March 17. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Cris Tales, Circus Electrique, and Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy are packing their bags, but February’s generous batch of new arrivals—headlined by Spider-Man 2—has made these farewells feel like a total non-event.

A departure list nobody’s crying over
Let’s recap the six titles bowing out on March 17. Alongside the four games first spotted on the Japanese PSN, three more departures were confirmed via PlayStation Plus Australia, bringing the total to six. Honestly, it’s hard to call any of these irreplaceable losses:
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge — retro beat ’em up, beatable in 2–3 hours
- Cris Tales — turn-based RPG, about 20 hours
- R-Type Final 3 Evolved — old-school shoot ’em up (~20 hours)
- Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy — narrative action, around 16 hours
- Circus Electrique — tactical RPG with a steampunk world
- Paradise Killer — open-world investigation with vaporwave vibes
The most recognizable name here is easily TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, released in 2022 and praised for its loving tribute to ’90s arcade classics. But with nearly four years under its belt and a super-short playtime, most interested subscribers have already wrung it dry. As for the rest, they’re niche enough that their exit barely registers.
The community finally breathes: “Nothing here gives me FOMO”
It was Reddit user u/biirudaichuki who first spotted the departures on the Japanese PlayStation Plus hub, hours before the Western update. Their post quickly made the rounds on r/PlayStationPlus—but not for the usual reasons. Instead of panic and last-minute marathons to finish games before they vanish, the comments ranged from relief to outright indifference.

“Absolutely nothing here gives me FOMO, so I’m free to focus on Spider-Man 2,” summed up user 00-Monkey, while Hartia added: “Nothing I need to rush through. Thanks. Let’s hope the list doesn’t get any longer.” This is a far cry from the usual panic threads where subscribers realize an 80-hour RPG is vanishing in two weeks and they haven’t even cleared the tutorial. This time, the community is savoring the rare luxury of not having to scramble.
Spider-Man 2 steals the spotlight (and that was the plan)
If March’s departures are met with a collective shrug, it’s because February’s arrivals have everyone’s attention. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 just swung into the Game Catalog, joined by Neva, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, and several others—plus the month’s four free games. Insomniac’s blockbuster alone offers dozens of hours of content for anyone who hasn’t already played it, easily overshadowing a handful of niche titles on their way out.
Sony’s timing is no accident. By dropping its biggest addition of the year just as the catalog sheds a few minor games, the publisher keeps the mood upbeat. Extra and Premium subscribers have plenty to keep them busy until spring, and the pill of these removals goes down without a grimace. It’s a balancing act Sony doesn’t always pull off, but this month, it’s a masterstroke.
The next PS Plus milestones are already on the horizon: March’s monthly free games will be announced on February 25, followed by new Game Catalog additions on March 11. We’ll soon see if Sony can keep this winning streak going—or if next month’s departures will sting a lot more.
