The servers for ARC Raiders have been rocked by a digital storm: behind the frustrating bugs and current instability lies a massive attack that’s testing both Embark Studios’ teams and the patience of its player base.
Since the launch of the Headwinds update, ARC Raiders’ 12 million players have been facing a gauntlet of technical issues turning every session into a real ordeal. A high-voltage update

In an official statement on Discord, Embark Studios confirmed that both of its flagship titles, ARC Raiders and The Finals, are currently being hit by massive, coordinated DDoS attacks. These cyber assaults, which flood servers with traffic to overwhelm them, are causing service interruptions and making gameplay especially chaotic.
The technical teams are working around the clock to deploy protective measures, but the situation remains critical. According to the studio:
- The attacks are still ongoing at the time of their announcement
- Significant progress has been made in rolling out countermeasures
- The response team is actively monitoring the evolving threat
Meanwhile, a hotfix is nearly ready. It aims to address several issues introduced by Headwinds, including unintended tweaks and undocumented bugs. The patch is expected to roll out later today, provided server stability can be restored.
Raiders urged to proceed with caution
Until things return to normal, the developers strongly advise players to stay offline for now. While the game is technically accessible, the risk of losing gear and loot is especially high under current conditions. Unstable connections, erratic movement, and desync issues make any topside expedition a risky gamble.
